About the Web Academy
The Gresham-Barlow Web Academy is an online public charter school approved by the Oregon Department of Education. The school’s web-based curriculum meets Oregon state standards and Highly Qualified teachers will provide the instruction.
Each academy student receives a personalized education program designed to meet their unique needs.
This online school allows students to login any time, anywhere. The online learning is supported in a variety of ways, including:
- Daily e-mail communication with teachers
- Face-to-face check-in sessions with instructors
- Field-trips and community service projects with other academy students
Students enrolled in the Gresham-Barlow Web Academy will get the best of both worlds—an online learning program designed just for them and the benefits of being part of a “learning community” with opportunities to interact with teachers, students, and the world around them!
Who can attend
The Gresham-Barlow Web Academy is an online public charter school designed for students who live within the Gresham-Barlow School District Boundaries. Students who live outside of the district will be considered for enrollment if there are available spaces.
Another learning option
The Gresham-Barlow Web Academy is specifically designed for students who find a traditional classroom setting does not meet their needs. We believe home-school students, home-bound students, and students who have exited school before graduating will find the Gresham-Barlow Web Academy a suitable educational option.
Curriculum
The online courses offered by the academy are rigorous and standards-based. The courses are flexible enough to meet the needs of students in a variety of circumstances. If you are in need of flexible, one-on-one learning opportunities for your student, the Gresham-Barlow Web Academy’s online courses will fill that need.

The Web Academy is located directly behind Dexter McCarty Middle School at 1426 SE 5th, Gresham, OR 97080.
