Kari is the head secretary/administrative assistant to the Web Academy and our only full time employee.
For the previous nine years, Kari was a registrar and counseling secretary at The Dallas-Wahtonka High School

Christeen Calhoun
Health and Physical Education
Christeen completed her student teaching at Hudson's Bay High School in Vancouer last year, and currently teaches all Health and Physical Education classes and assists with middle school language arts at the Web Academy.
Christeen is also licensed to teach Language Arts and Social Studies.
Steven Ellsberg
Social Studies & Middle School Math
Steven teaches all of the Social Studies classes at the Web Academy, as well as middle school Math.
Steven worked at Clear Creek Middle School as an educational assistant, substitute taught Social Studies at Astoria High School, and most recently worked as a teacher for the Oregon Youth Authority.
Kevin Marquardt
Science
Kevin teaches Science half-time at the Web Academy, including co-teaching Physical Science and Physics with Stephen Scannell.
Kevin also teachers Science half-time in the Portland School District
Daniel Myers
Secondary Math - Daniel Myers
This year, Dan teaches half-time at Damascus Middle School, in addition to teaching Math at the Web Academy.
Previously, Dan taught at Barlow High School and McCarty Middle School.
Mark Nerczuk
Spanish, English as a Second Language (ESL), Sundown School Coordinator
Mark advises Sundown students, 5th year seniors and ESL students.
Mark has taught ESL at Gordon Russell Middle School for eight years. Prior to that, Mark taught ESL and Special Education classes in Oregon City, Woodburn, Alaska and Guam.
Steve Scannell
Physical Science and Physics
Steve co-teaches Physical Science and Physics courses at the Web Academy. Steve us a teacher on special assignment as liasion with the Portland State University Center for Science Education.
Steve has taught High School Science at Gresham High School since 1997. In 2007 Steve received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in Oregon.
Last year, Steve was named an Albert Einstein Distinguished Fellow, and he and his family moved to Washington D.C., where Steve worked in the National Science Foundation. Steve has also served as an adjunct faculty member at Lewis & Clark College.
Christina Struyk-Bonn
English
Christina teaches all Language Arts classes at the Web Academy.
Christina taught English at Gresham High School for eight years, and two years at Central High School, in Monmouth, prior to that. She is also adjunct faculty at Willamette University, and is working on her Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing at Portland State.
Mike Harris
Consulting Principal
Former Kelly Creek Elementary School Principal Mike Harris is overseeing the development of the school. In addition to experience as a school principal, Harris has extensive experience in alternative learning programs.
Tim Drilling
Principal
Gresham-Barlow School District Technology and Assessment Director Tim Drilling is principal of the school. Mr. Drilling is a former high school teacher and principal, and has a strong interest in developing alternative learning options.
